The first years of the Concerned Patriots International Club

Intimate friends’ club as it was called then, was born in the month of August, 2000 in the residence of Chief Ogbonna Amaechi at Rumuibekwe Housing Estate, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria.

The seed of this club was conceived in the year 1999, during the end of year party of Mbaise Secondary School Old Boys (M.S.S.), Port Harcourt branch.

On that day, the mass was officiated by one of their old boys, Rev. Fr. Sabinus Iwu who happens to be their 1987 set with most of their old boys in attendance. The glamour of seeing most of their old boys together triggered an idea that got Chief Ogbonna Amaechi thinking that it would be nice for their 1987 set to form a platform which will enable them meet themselves from time to time so that they can be of assistance to one another as they get along.

The idea finally matured in the month of April 2000 with the following aims and objectives:
– To be their brothers keeper.
– To be of assistance in various disciplines that they find themselves.
– To build a club that would be of very great professional conduct.
– To create a legacy where their loved ones can step on.
– To lend support to the society at large, especially the less privilege.
