Ekechukwu John Nwasogu is a native of Imo State, Nigeria and is married with two children.

Acquired a first (B.Sc.) Degree in Geology from the University of Nigeria Nsukka Enugu State, Nigeria and a second (M.Sc.) Degree in Geology (Petroleum Geology/Exploration Geophysics) from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria.

Member of some professional bodies such as Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE), Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS) and Council for Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG).

A member of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul (a Catholic pious society) and one of the board members of Stewards of Hope Developmental Initiative (NGO) that provides a lot of humanitarian aids to the less privileged within Imo and Abia States of Nigeria.

He has  received so many award of Honors from the Church and his community in recognition of his enormous contributions to the growth of the Church and the community.

He joined the CONCERNED PATRIOTS INTL CLUB in May 2019 and has enjoyed the air of cordial relationship within the club.

He enjoys Swimming, Travelling, playing/watching Football, etc.
